Lust for Louboutins.

Ladies....

This is the multi coloured spikes on white collection.
It looks so delicious, like I could eat all this I swear I'm in love.. Divine.
Everything here is ranged between $625-1,895.

Personally I don't go for white shoes unless they're sportswear because I feel they don't compliment my skin tone very well but I'd happily purchase any of these and wear them to a garden party with some white skinnies or a floral pencil skirt. The sneakers would be very easy to dress.
The zip wallet, clutch and cross bag are to die for.
Heavenly collection. A girl can't go wrong with anything Christian Louboutin.

Labor Day.

Hello my loves..

Tomorrow is Labor day woooop! This holiday couldn't have come at a better time to be honest because I'm extremely tired and I don't think I've fully recovered from my Easter vacation *face palm*. So we get a nice day off to kick back wear some jeans and relax in front of the telly. While most of you will be doing that.. I'll be running around with my friend, looking for an outfit for the 2014 Kilimanjaro Music Awards that are being held this Saturday.. eeek!

So what do you wear on your casual day? On a shopping day? Well I threw together some ideas, I hope you like them and that they inspire your casual day outfit ideas :)

First is a simple pair of light blue denim skinnies, with a soft coral vintage Coca Cola T shirt, a black over the shoulder satchel bag and a red pair of converse. I love converse they're so comfy, the more worn out and distressed the better :).. Gold bangles to accessorize, some Burt's Bees lippie and a pair of Sunglasses.

Second is this simple but chic outfit. I love black and white in outfits, monochrome is my absolute favourite even in interior home decor too. A black pair of jeggings with a white T shirt that has a black spray painted print. A black blazer, a black over the shoulder satchel bag, sunnies, lip gloss and a pair low top blazer Nike trainers.

Which do you prefer?
Happy Labor day followers :)

simple DIY face mask.

Hello beauties!

I've heard countless times and seen a lot of people going natural with hair and skin care. By natural I mean using the most simple natural ingredients that you can find in the comfort of your kitchen to improve and care for hair/skin. I(like many other women) am always seeking new better skin remedies. Or even just new face scrubs/masks to help exfoliate my skin. The process of exfoliating is very important as it helps remove all dead skin cells and should be done at least once a week..

I have been using one that includes lemon, brown sugar, olive oil and honey. This mask is so good for the skin, it leaves my face feeling so smooth, clear and soft. It is great for all skin types even though the Olive oil content can make you feel like your skin is heavy but this is only whilst its on.

BENEFITS:

lemon

- Natural source of Vitamin C, evens out skin tone, lightens dark spots and brightens the skin

- It contains a mild form of Alpha Hydroxy Acid, great for exfoliation

- Its a natural astringent which tightens pores

Brown Sugar

- Natural exfoliator

- Contains glycolic acid which exfoliates to remove dead skin cells and evens out skin tone

Olive Oil

- Very high in vitamin E which soothes and calms

- Naturally moisturizes the skin

Honey

- Antibacterial properties remove and prevent impurities

- Natural humectant keeps skin hydrated

- Natural source of anti-oxidants, which helps prevent aging skin

I'd especially recommend this for people dealing with breakouts, dark marks and scarring. Honey just by itself is also really good!. This face mask will get rid of dead skin cells, remove impurities and brighten the skin. It really gives my face a nice glow :)

Happy exfoliating
Take care

Easter in Nungwi, Zanzibar.

So.. as promised a post on my Easter holiday :-).

A little warning that this post is heavy on the pictures.

We started off at the port opposite St. Joseph Cathedral where you can find many speedboats, ferries and sea buses that will take you to Zanzibar in under 3 hours. Make sure to carry some ID and be prepared for the port sales ticket(hooligans if you ask me) vendors to give you hassle into buying tickets from them. You can't purchase these tickets online unfortunately so it's over the counter sales only. You shouldn't spend more than $25-40 per ticket for one way whether a foreigner or local. I took a couple of pictures as we left the port as you can see below it was a grey day in Dar es Salaam.

We arrived in Zanzibar 2 hours and 30 minutes later then took a car from Stone town to the Hideaway of Nungwi Resort which took us about an hour. We were so exhausted at that point not because of the total time it took us travelling but because of all the methods of transport. We received a great welcome at the reception, they ushered us to some cosy seats in the foyer where we enjoyed the sea view whilst sipping on a cold glass of Watermelon juice. Checking in was done very swiftly and while we were comfortably seated. The porter grabbed our bags and lead us to a golf cart which took us to our room after driving us around the vast grounds.

Awwww :)

The scenery was just breath taking, so much so that I feel that the cameras were not doing this place any justice. The gardens are so beautiful plus are well looked after, it's always nice to see some greenery and flowers by the beach. Hideaway of Nungwi looks a thousand times better in person than it does on the pictures on the website too!

Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. African ethnic interiors, artwork, pictures, wall hangings and fixtures all whilst remaining chic. The bathroom was my personal favourite, very big with tiney ceramic tiles, wooden furniture and a glass shower *love struck* We had a cute little balcony where we could see the ocean and sunsets from our room :)

Peep our little mini fridge :) The ultimate essentials.

So we spent 4 nights and almost 4 days there. It was completely blissful. We would quit our jobs and stay forever if we could but sadly that's not how life works :( plus my other half is a complete workaholic so that would drive him mad I'm sure lol! We would usually start the day with some Yummy breakfast then either go to the pool or beach. Pool side was mainly to get the drinks in lol, which were never in short supply. Then we'd have lunch and do the opposite of what did that morning, so if we were at the pool we'd go to the beach that afternoon. By the time the sun had set we'd be completely worn out lol. Dinners were always eventful as we'd enjoy a lovely meal then head out to the pool bar to watch the evening entertainment. There was a lot of drunk singing and dancing of which my other half took part of ALOT lol. Below are some general snaps of drinks, meal times, pool side and the beach.

Some lunch after morning activities.. yum yum!

We went snorkeling which was a first for us. My man was looking more forward to snorkeling more than I was but once I started, no one could stop me lol. We were looking for little (scary)treasures on the sea bed... So we would hold hands then dip under water which was lovely and (I discovered)surprisingly intimate lol. Other than seeing shell fish, fish, rocks that would miraculously move, I really wanted to be under water just so I can hold my mans hand and have little moments LMAO! We snorkeled in the morning for a bit, it was gorgeous out and very bright so you could see everything in the water better. My other half paid for a sunset boat ride where we went out in the water, snorkeled some more and watched the sunset(with a glass of wine) so close it was like in 3D!! It was such an experience, one for the bucket list!

How beautiful is this view? No words.

I can not include all the amazing things that we got up to at The Hideaway of Nungwi because then this post would be longer than the Constitution of India lol. But one of the most memorable experiences for me happened at the Spa which you'll see some pictures of below. We went there one night at around 7 pm after swimming in the ocean all day and snorkeling. We had just the right amount of alcohol in our system and decided to soak in the cold jacuzzi which is located in the middle of that octagon swimming pool. The night was still, we had nothing but the stars and the soft sound of the massaging Jacuzzi jets around us, truly magical moment.

On the last day of our stay we paid the spa one last visit.. we sat in the steamer and then in the Jacuzzi again which ensured that we left The Hideaway of Nungwi feeling even more relaxed and less stressed than we already felt.

All in all this was a fantastic Easter Break. This place is heaven for a couple and a family. The food is delicious, the staff are extremely friendly and the resort as a whole have made sure to not forget a single thing. If you're on full board you'll be well fed and hydrated. There are plenty of towels and umbrellas so you don't need to worry about bringing too many of your own. I really can't fault this place at all and even having gone there now I'd definitely go back again.

Hope you enjoyed this post.

Take care xox

Embassy 007 Licence to Party..

Hello all..
A few months ago I attended a huge party for the Embassy cigarette company.. It was so well put together by a very popular Tanzanian brand managing company. It featured red carpets, black and gold decor, men in slick suits, women in red glamorous gowns who were covered in (fake)diamonds and enormous James Bond artwork draped everywhere.

I took some snaps of my outfit, which was simple. Black and white vertical stripped skirt with a black boob tube. Added platform heels from Office and a Marc B blue clutch bag.. See below.. face of the night coppers and golds with a very dewy finish. I liked this hairstyle on me :) though it doesn't stay neat very long especially in such a hot country!

Outfit of the night..

Photo time on the 007 Licence to Party backdrop at the venue..

Inside the venue pictures of the decor, myself and my girlfriends :)

When the real party started.. Ommy Dimpoz was performing Me & You with Vanessa

My friends and I were lucky enough to go back stage and take a picture with Ommy Dimpoz, very cool dude.

What a fantastic night this was.. And it was quite the reunion too as most of us went to high school together and met when we were 11/12 years old. All from various countries meeting at a hostel in boarding school In Malawi and now all in the same country working in Tanzania. Isn't God lovely for bring us back together again? You really do start appreciating good honest friends the older you get in life and realise it's nothing to do with quantity but quality. Hope you enjoyed this post. Until next time. Ciao.

Beach essentials and my Easter plan

Hello pumpkins..

Well as you know Easter weekend is fast approaching and most of us working class can not wait to have those 4 days off! Lie ins and fry ups at home while watching crappy daytime television, sounds ideal to me lol! Anyway others will be making their way to their home villages to visit parents & grand parents which is what a lot of people will be doing here in Dar es Salaam. The town will finally have a little peace and quiet.

Lucky enough for me.. I'll be going away with my significant other to http://www.hideawaynungwi.com/ which is in Zanzibar for the long weekend and I am beyond excited. It's absolutely gorgeous and we are looking forward to spending some quality time there together.

Some images of Hideaway of Nungwi Resort & Spa ..

HOW GORGEOUS??!!

Below is my beach guide.. Everything I think a lady should have when she's pool or beach side :)

Included in this first compilation are: a duffle bag to stuff all your items in, a pair of Sunglasses, three one piece swim suits, a pair of havanna flip flops, bronzer for that sun glitter glow on the skin and finally the very important sunscreen.. It is very important to protect your skin from the sun no matter what race you are!

In this second and last one there is the uber hot tiger print kimono, my favorite style in sunglasses, beach towels, cute pair of sandals in aztec print, Mini Ipod shuffle because some tunes while laying out is always good also reading material.. If you're laying out all day it's always good to have music, reading material, good company and my next item A DRINK lol. Ciroc is perfect for such time because you can just have it with fruit or some nice juice blends. Ladies remember to carry along with you some colorful, playful lipstick and these gorgeous rings to accessorize

Hope you all have great Easter plans and that you enjoy yourselves :-)
